LARIBA American Finance House holds a special place in U.S. Islamic finance history as the first institution to offer halal financing in America, founded in 1987. They have been operating for nearly four decades — longer than any other Islamic finance company in the country.
LARIBA's Amana (Trust-based) model is certified by AAOIFI with annual Shariah audits conducted by Raqaba LLC. These audits have been published since 2015, providing a strong transparency signal. This represents a higher level of independent Shariah verification than many competitors.
LARIBA serves 21 states and offers both home and auto financing. The auto financing option is particularly notable since very few providers in the U.S. offer dedicated halal vehicle financing. For families needing both home and vehicle financing from one Shariah-certified provider, LARIBA fills a significant gap.
LARIBA uses an Amana (Trust-based) financing model. The specific mechanics involve a trust structure designed to avoid interest. LARIBA's approach has been certified by AAOIFI through annual audits by Raqaba LLC. Contact LARIBA directly for detailed structure documentation.

LARIBA has been doing this longer than almost anyone. We financed our home through them in 2019 and it's been smooth sailing. They really know their stuff.
The main downside is they're focused on California. If you're here though, they're an excellent option. Very experienced team with decades in the business.
My father used LARIBA back in the 90s. Generational trust. The halal financing structure is solid and well-established.
