A halal credit union exists!
A halal credit union! The fact that this exists makes me happy. Being a member means you're part of a cooperative and the services are genuinely shariah-compliant. Wish we had one of these in every state.

Halal Business Financing in Texas
Business equipment financing at a true 0% from Jafari No-Interest Credit Union, a Texas state-chartered, NCUA-insured credit union (operating since 2016) created by and for the Jafari (Shia) Muslim community. Business equipment purchase or repair loans run $5,000-$16,000 for equipment bought or repaired within the last six months from standard industry vendors, repaid principal-only at a minimum of $200 a month over terms up to 60 months. Every business owner must be a credit union member, and the CU covers its roughly $40,000 in annual costs through flat fees, voluntary fee programs, and donations rather than interest.
Jafari Credit Union extends its 0% model to business equipment - genuinely interest-free lending through an NCUA-insured, member-owned cooperative that runs on volunteer staff, donated office space, and flat fees instead of any return on money. The numbers are published and small: $5,000-$16,000 per equipment loan, $200,000 total business-lending cap, 365 members, and $3.82 million lent since 2016, with $1.23 million in member interest avoided by the CU's own estimate. Eligibility is the real constraint - membership is limited to the Jafari (Shia) communities of three Texas centers plus family members nationwide - and there is no Sharia board on record, just the structural absence of interest. For eligible business owners with modest equipment needs, nothing else in the US market is this clean.

Good credit union if you're in their area. The product selection is more limited than a big bank but everything is halal by default which is the whole point.
Opened a savings account with them. No interest, just the way it should be. The staff is friendly and gets it. Limited branch access but that's the reality of a small credit union.
