Halal Investing in Nevada
Wahed's robo-advisor is the most established automated halal investing platform in the US: an SEC-registered adviser (founded 2015, New York) running six managed risk tiers built exclusively from Shariah-screened components - Wahed's own equity ETFs, sukuk, gold, and the KWIN alternative-income ETF - from a $100 minimum. The all-in wrap fee is 0.49% plus $60/year below $100,000, flattening to 0.49% above; portfolios rebalance automatically and the platform bundles zakat calculation and annual purification reporting. Compliance runs through a three-scholar Shariah board with Shariyah Review Bureau as external advisor and published annual board reports.
Wahed remains the reference platform for hands-off halal investing in the US: a real three-scholar Shariah board with Shariyah Review Bureau externally reviewing, published annual compliance reports, quarterly purification data, and account types (taxable plus Traditional, Roth, SEP, and Rollover IRAs) that cover most savers, all at a $100 entry. Pricing is fair at scale - 0.49% flat above $100K undercuts human advisers - but the $60 fixed fee makes small accounts genuinely expensive, and Manzil's 0.40% + $48 now undercuts it at most balances. Two structural honesty points: portfolios are built substantially from Wahed's own ETFs, and the SEC's 2022 order over the HLAL launch era showed what governance looked like before the current documentation existed. The platform that emerged from that episode is stronger for it; go in eyes open and adequately funded.

Good app, easy to use. Returns have been okay - nothing crazy but I'm in it for the long term. Wish they had more account types like a 529 or something.
The robo-advisor approach works well if you don't want to pick individual stocks. Set my risk level and let it do its thing. Rebalancing happens automatically.
